Coaches
Coach: Kenya Chambers: Kenya is a 2021 graduate of Ballard High School and is currently taking courses at Ivy Tech, planning on pursuing a Psychology degree. She works as a preschool teacher at The Temple where she also taught Hebrew. Her swim-team experience started at a young age at the JCC. Kenya continued swimming year-round for about 14 years as well as swimming for Ballard High School. She loves swimming and working with children of all ages. Kenya is so excited to be back with the Marlin’s this summer as your coach!
Coach - Makenna Wilson: Makenna graduated from Eastern High School in 2022 and is currently attending Indiana University Southeast. She is on the basketball team and is majoring in education. She swam on a swim team for most of her life…including summer swim at Douglass Hills and Wildwood Country Club. Makenna also swam competitively at Triton. She loves swimming because she loves competing with a team and pushing herself and others to reach goals and is so excited to continue to use her skills to coach the Marlins!
Assistant Coach- Johnny Owen: Johnny has been a Marlin since he was 3 years old and we are so excited he is joining our coaching staff in his last official year as a swimmer for the team! He just graduated from St. X high school and was a team captain of the swim team this year which took home their 36th consecutive state title. He started swimming competitively his Freshman year at St. X and is taking a gap year to continue to train. You will see him at evening practices and on weekends and at our meets!
